Microwaved Quick Butter and Garlic Potatoes


Here’s an easy recipe for a buttery garlic potatoes.  We love potatoes (specially my daughter) and this is definitely one recipe that is quick to prepare and wonderful as a side dish.  I found the recipe from one of the grocery packets but I had to tweak the recipe because the original one is way too salty for anyone on earth, I think!

What you need:

500 grams unpeeled baby potatoes (if you have only the regular potatoes, you can just cut them into baby sizes), washed, scrubbed and drained

1/4 cup butter, melted (that’s about 125 grams in solid form)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoon minced garlic

What you need to do:

Combine your melted butter, salt, paprika and garlic in a bowl.  Mix and set aside.

Place your potatoes in a microwave safe dish or plastic rice cooker.  Cover and cook for 6 – 8 minutes.  Leave to rest for half a minute before carefully taking off the lid (this could be steamy so be careful!).   Pour your sauce onto the potatoes and mix with a spoon to coat each potato.  Serve and enjoy.
