Frozen then Thawed
Yesterday, we were expecting the temperature to reach 43 deg C. We were told that Queensland could have the hottest day it has experienced ever. And that is why we have decided to go to the mall and watch a movie. Best way to cool off, I think. We don’t like going to the park or the beach or the pool when it’s sweltering hot. I don’t savour the thought of having to dry up after a swim, having to wait in line to change in a muggy dressing room, having to pack everything, and then feeling hot all over again. Nope, not for us.
The movie my daughter picked to watch was Frozen (available interesting ones included Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, Walking with Dinosaurs, The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty) . Hopefully the movie would cool us down as well heh heh.
She made a good choice. We all loved it! The story, the animation, the songs! To me personally, it goes up on my list of best animated movie I have seen (with the likes of Toy Story 1, 2, 3, How To Train Your Dragon, Up). I would need to say again that I loved the songs. The voices of the characters were great, but make them sing those songs and they are wow — unforgettable. The only voice I knew was Kristen Bell and I didn’t know she could sing! What a lovely voice! And it just wasn’t hers — it was all the characters who sang in the movie. Such a joy to watch and listen to. And from the looks of it, my daughter feels the same way — she and her cousin are singing along again and again while watching the videos in their tablets. This is the kind of movie I am glad our family saw and know that will see again and again and again 🙂 Some might not like the plot but we did. So we give this movie three thumbs up!
P.S. Going to the movies cooled us down but as we went out the mall, the temperature was 44.5 deg C. Thawed, we felt. Melted. LOL.
